Ingredients:

• 1 cup of Japanese short-grain rice

• 1 1/2 cups of water

• 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

• 1 small onion, chopped


• 1 small carrot, diced

• 1 small green bell pepper, diced

• 1/2 pound of chicken or beef, diced

• 1 tablespoon of ketchup

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 3 large eggs

• 1 tablespoon of milk

• Butter for cooking



Instructions:


1. Rinse the rice in a colander until the water runs clear. Add the rinsed rice and 1 1/2 cups of water to a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions. 


2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Add the diced carrot and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

4. Add the diced chicken or beef to the skillet and cook until it is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.




5. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables and meat.

6. Add the ketchup to the skillet and mix well. with salt and pepper to taste.

7. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.


8. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small knob of butter. Once the butter has melted, pour in the egg mixture and swirl the pan to coat the bottom evenly. 


9. Once the egg starts to set, place.


10. Fold the sides of the egg over the rice to form a neat package.

11. Use a spatula to carefully flip the omurice over onto a plate. 


12. Drizzle additional ketchup or sauce over 


13. Serve the omurice hot and enjoy!

Tips:

• You can add additional vegetables or meat to the rice mixture, such as peas, corn, or shrimp.
