• 1/2 teaspoon of salt

• 1/4 teaspoon of pepper

• 1 egg

• 1 cup of ice water

• Vegetable oil for frying



For the dipping sauce:

• 1/4 cup of soy sauce

• 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar

• 1 tablespoon of sugar


• 1 teaspoon of grated ginger

• 1 clove of garlic, minced

• 1 green onion, sliced

1. Make the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, egg, and ice water until

5. Make the dipping sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, ginger, garlic, and green onion. Serve the dipping sauce on the side with the ebi furai.
