• 2 bowls of sushi rice


• 2 1/2 cups water


 3 tbsp rice vinegar


• 2 tablespoons sugar


• 1 teaspoon salt


 Toppings (raw fish, sliced ​​omelet, avocado, carrot, cucumber, pickled ginger, sesame seeds, etc.)



Instructions:


1. Rinse the sushi rice with cold water until the water runs clear. Drain the rice and place it in a pot with 2 1/2 cups of water.


2. Cover the pot and cook the rice over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the water has evaporated.



3. Remove pot from heat, cover and let stand for 10 minutes.


4. Place the rice vinegar, sugar and salt in a small pot, heat over medium heat, and stir until the sugar and salt dissolve.


5. Transfer the cooked rice to a large bowl and add the mixed vinegar. Stir the rice with a wooden spoon until the vinegar mixture is evenly distributed.


6. Place the rice on a plate and spread it evenly.


7. Decorate the toppings on top of the rice.


8. Sprinkle sesame on the topping and it's done.



This dish is best enjoyed right away, but you can also make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
